Saint Michael’s Roman Catholic Cathedral

The Cathedral of Reunification – also called the Cathedral of the Coronation, it is the first place of worship built after December 1, 1918, and the place where King Ferdinand was crowned.

The Greek Church of the Annunciation – preserves part of the 18th-century heritage (the deed of gift from 1799, religious books with the first recordings of donors, three silver chandeliers from 1786, the imperial icon dated 1793).

Mihai Viteazul Memorial Church – built at the initiative of Mihai Viteazu in 1597, when Alba Iulia was the capital of Orthodoxy in Transylvania.

The Church of the Holy Trinity – here, in 1866, Mihai Eminescu was present at the event of ASTRA (The Transylvanian Association for Romanian Literature and the Culture of the Romanian People).

The Princely Palace – it had famous residents, such as: Isabella, the last queen of Hungary; Sigismund Bathory, who rightfully led the three Romanian Countries; Mihai Viteazu, who united Transylvania, Moldova, and Wallachia de facto; Prince Gabriel Bethlen, during whose time Alba Iulia reached its peak prosperity.

The former War Commissariat – a project that bears the signature of the Italian architect Giovanni Morando Visconti.

The former Supply Depot – a unit of the Austrian imperial army, responsible for procuring flour and bread for soldiers.

Apor Palace – the first civilian building in Baroque style in Transylvania. Current destination: the building of the rectorate of the University of December 1, 1918.

The Archepiscopal Palace – here is located the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Alba Iulia.

The Bastion Fortress Alba Carolina – the largest fortress in Romania (110 hectares, arranged in a star shape).

Batthyaneum Library – a museum of rare books.

The Union Hall – the place where the union of Transylvania with Romania was decided.

The National Museum of the Union from Alba Iulia – the largest romantic style building in Alba Iulia.
